Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC seeks a Business Office Assistant for McLaws Circle Dental Care in Williamsburg, VA. You’ll support the front office with phones, scheduling, insurance coordination, and patient communications to ensure a smooth patient experience.

This role offers 40 hours per week, no nights or weekends, a full benefits package, and ongoing training through Heartland Dental University and CE classes to help you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• New Dental Assistant grads welcome to apply.
• Willing to train for the role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
• Handle front office duties: phones, mail, email, and insurance communication.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on benefits.
• Post payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Explain treatment plan fees and payment options.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland systems.
