Smile Design Toledo Blade is seeking a Front Office Business Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, handle front desk duties, and manage communications with patients and insurance providers while using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in a dental/medical setting, strong communication, and the ability to protect PHI with HIPAA training. This role supports Heartland Dental offices and offers training and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced customer service environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to PHI requires HIPAA training and safeguarding data.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail, emails, and communications.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records management.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on payments and benefits.
• Post insurance and patient payments; process accounts receivable.
• Explain treatment plan fees and payment options to patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
