Job summary

College Avenue Family Dentistry is seeking a Business Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, manage front office tasks, schedule appointments, and handle insurance claims to ensure smooth daily operations.

As part of Heartland Dental, you’ll contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered office. The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and a commitment to providing excellent care while supporting the business side of the practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Handle front office duties: phones, mail, email, and messaging with patients/insurers.
• Schedule appointments using Dentrix and manage records.
• Schedule and confirm multiple providers.
• Process insurance claims and verify benefits.
• Post payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Explain treatment plan options and payment options with patients.
• Support office with Heartland Dental systems to optimize operations.
