Job summary

West Falls Church Dental, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a reliable Business Assistant to support front office operations and patient care. You’ll greet patients, manage phones, email, and insurance communications while using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

The role requires excellent communication, organization, and at least 1 year of dental/medical experience, with experience in insurance billing and accounts receivable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to PHI with HIPAA training and data safeguards.
• Knowledge of Dentrix or other dental software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail, email, and insurance communications.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
