Job summary

Church Health is seeking a Patient Services Assistant – Dental to be the first point of contact for patients. The role requires strong communication, customer-service skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy dental office.

Responsibilities include managing patient records, scheduling, eligibility checks, and basic billing support. Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma with 1–3 years of experience; associate degree or certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out, including eligibility checks and payments for treatment.
• Collect and digitally store patient information: demographics, dental guidelines, income proof, medical histories.
• Manage phone calls, respond to inquiries, provide general information about dental services.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, optimizing dentist’s time and treatment rooms.
• Verify eligibility for dental services and provide resources for those who do not qualify.
• Assist patients with questions about billing and treatment costs, including split payments on multi-step procedures.
• Prepare reconciliation reports balancing funds at end of day, run reports as directed by supervisor.
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality protocols.
