Job summary

• Strong communication with patients, families, and care teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record software (eCW preferred).
• Able to protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA and organizational policy.
• Experience delivering courteous, respectful customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dental appointments, referrals, and treatment plans for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
• Support preventive care scheduling and help patients understand dental recommendations.
• Identify barriers to care and arrange accommodations for transportation, communication, or accessibility needs.
• Communicate care needs among dental providers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist with complex procedures requiring sedation, anesthesia, or hospital care when needed.
• Follow up on missed appointments and track outstanding dental needs.
• Provide oral health education and connect patients with resources.
• Maintain documentation, protect confidentiality, and participate in care planning.
