Job summary

Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO) is seeking a Dental Patient Care Coordinator to support patients from appointment scheduling through follow-up. You will coordinate treatment plans, communicate with dentists and partners, and help with referrals, transportation, and billing with attention to privacy and HIPAA.

In this role you will greet patients, verify information, assist with forms, and ensure a smooth patient experience in a compassionate, trauma-informed manner within a community

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of dental front-office or patient coordination experience.
• Working knowledge of dental terminology and charting practices.
• Experience with appointment scheduling and dental practice management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, respectful, compassionate, and professional experience for all patients.
• Serve as a primary contact for appointment questions, referrals, and clinic procedures.
• Communicate treatment plans and next steps to patients with approval from the dentist.
• Assist patients with completing forms and updating information in portals or systems.
• Verify patient demographics, PHI privacy, and confidentiality according to policies.
