Community Health Care, Inc. (CHC) is seeking a Dental Referral Specialist for our Patient Access Center in Davenport, IA. The role focuses on coordinating dental referrals, prior authorizations, and connecting patients with outside providers to ensure timely access to care.

You will collaborate with dental teams, insurers, and community partners in a fast-paced healthcare environment, handling multiple referrals while maintaining accurate records in EPIC and ensuring clear patient communication.

Qualifications

• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing dental referrals with outside agencies and CHC teams.
• Schedule referred appointments and convey information to patients.
• Track referrals from start to finish and follow up to ensure care access.
• Obtain reports from outside providers and attach to patient records.
• Initiate and follow up on dental prior authorizations as needed.
• Work with insurance details to aid patient access to services.
• Serve as a resource on referral procedures for patients and staff.
• Review messages in EPIC and route to the appropriate team.
• Verify insurance and patient information in EPIC.
• Document referral activity accurately in patient records.
