Job summary

Heartland Dental's Dental Care of Rolesville is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists with four-handed dentistry, take x-rays, and ensure patient comfort throughout treatment.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling and records, uphold safety per OSHA/CDC, and manage supplies while collaborating with the team to optimize office workflow and patient care. This role offers training and growth within a stable national network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and providing education during treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Maintain treatment rooms with safety protocols per OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
