Job summary

Premier Dentistry of Wake Forest is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health history, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support to dentists using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

We emphasize safety, patient comfort, and ongoing learning in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Training and growth opportunities are available within Heartland Dental’s expansive network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection practices.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to improve office workflow.
