Job summary

Pearly Whites Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team under Heartland Dental's support network. The successful candidate will be involved in patient greeting, health history reviews, radiography, four-handed chairside assistance, scheduling, and maintaining a safe, efficient operatory environment.

You will work with modern technology, support continuous learning, and contribute to high-quality patient experiences in a busy practice setting.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.
• TB test may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate throughout treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and imaging (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory and place orders as needed.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
