Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in a full-time role. The position requires X-ray certification with CDA as a plus, and familiarity with Dentrix for scheduling and records.

The successful candidate will support clinicians with four-handed dentistry, maintain patient comfort, and adhere to OSHA/CDC safety protocols. This role offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth in a large network.

Qualifications

• X-ray certification is required; CDA certification is a plus.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment is preferred.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification may be required by state practice act.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients and ensure their comfort during treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic measures (e.g., iTero 3D scanner).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists (four-handed dentistry).
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC guidance).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow.
