Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on welcoming patients, assisting dentists, and maintaining precise documentation while using Dentrix and iTero technology.

The successful candidate will have certification in dental assisting and x-ray where required, plus strong communication and organizational skills. You’ll work in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment with education and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients throughout treatment.
• Review health history to guide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and digital imaging (iTero).
• Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply levels and place expeditious orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to maximize workflow.
