Job summary

Heartland Dental in Wisconsin is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take and process x-rays using the iTero 3D scanner, and provide chairside support to dentists during a variety of procedures.

You'll use Dentrix for scheduling and records, follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, and help maintain a smooth office workflow. Training and growth opportunities are strong in a supportive, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI data safeguards are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and orders to support office workflow.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
