Job summary

Tiffin Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join the team and support clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care. You’ll participate in patient greeting, education and comfort, prepare treatment areas, assist during procedures, and help with scheduling and records using Dentrix.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in fast-paced customer-centric environment
• Ability to obtain dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• HIPAA training and PHI protection

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and ensure comfort throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to support quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a range of procedures
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
• Manage supplies and place orders to support office workflow
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems
