Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• If required under state practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• PHI protection and HIPAA training aligned with role responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and maintain comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures per state practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols according to OSHA & CDC.
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
