Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant for Holmestown Commons Dental Care to join a dynamic team. You will greet patients, review histories, and prepare for treatment while supporting dentists with four-handed procedures.

You will take X-rays, operate iTero 3D scanning, and maintain Dentrix scheduling and records. Strong communication, organization, and HIPAA awareness are required for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (as required by state act)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to provide quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during procedures
• Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA/CDC compliance
• Manage supply and inventory and place/expedite orders
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow
