Job summary

Amazon is seeking an AMZL Sr. Station Leader to oversee all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for an Amazon Logistics Delivery Station (DS).

You will lead a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers, coach, drive lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality and performance in a 24/7 environment while collaborating with DSP partners. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, or distribution.
• Proven track record of delivering performance and financial results under pressure.
• Experience with performance metrics and process improvement, lean techniques.
• Experience staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Strong analytical capability and data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills, including local language and English.
• Experience managing third-party resources on a regional/national scale.
• Experience handling contingent workforce during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all delivery station operations.
• Drives vision for station team and creates quality initiatives, process changes and lean initiatives to meet business plans.
• Solves problems to close gaps between performance and goals.
• Sets expectations for Ops, Area and Shift Managers and measures performance.
• Manages 24/7 delivery operations and relationships with DSPs.
• Reports operational metrics to senior leadership.
• Hires and develops top talent, plans talent acquisition, performance and career management, development and engagement.
• Collaborates with Transport, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR and Engineering to secure support for projects.
