Job summary

Farmers Furniture is seeking a dedicated collections associate responsible for locating, notifying, and securing payments from customers with delinquent accounts. The role involves contacting customers by text or phone, reviewing terms, documenting all exchanges, and posting payments to accounts.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with at least six months in collections or office procedures; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to document correspondence and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Sends notices and requests for payment to delinquent accounts.
• Contact customers by text or phone to discuss overdue payments.
• Documents all correspondence and logs activities daily.
• Receives payments and posts to customer accounts.
• Maintains cash drawer and ensures security when unattended.
• Travels to customers' homes to collect payments as needed.
• Prepares paperwork for potential legal action against delinquent accounts.
• Initiates credit investigations under supervision.
• Works with CRM and schedules repairs or service as needed.
• Supports sales floor and CRM data entry as required.
