Job summary

Farmers Furniture is seeking a collections-focused associate to locate, contact, and secure payments from delinquent accounts. You will handle communications via text, mail, and phone, review terms with customers, and document all interactions.

Responsibilities include maintaining a cash drawer, traveling to customer locations when needed, and preparing documentation for potential legal action. Prior experience in collections or office procedures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in payment collections or general office procedures is required.
• Must be able to communicate with customers via text, phone, or in person.
• Ability to balance cash drawer and operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Notify and pursue delinquent accounts by text, mail, or call.
• Confer with customers to review terms and secure payment.
• Document all correspondence and payments on accounts.
• Handle cash drawer and balance it as directed by Store Manager.
• Travel to customer homes for collection as needed with Manager approval.
• Prepare paperwork for legal actions when necessary .
• Log activities and maintain records in CRM or tracking system.
• Assist customers on the sales floor as required by management.
