Qualifications

• Professional demeanor with written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of collections regulations and ability to interpret loan documents
• Mathematical proficiency with decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and adapt to workflow changes
• Experience managing competing demands and handling delays or unexpected events

Responsibilities

• Notify members with delinquent accounts and arrange debt repayment or repayment schedules
• Contact members by phone, mail, or email and perform skip tracing as needed
• Identify seriously delinquent accounts and, with approval, proceed with corrective action
• Focus on dedicated queue and meet required efforts to completion
• Initiate modification processes for hardship situations
• Enter information on collections efforts in designated records
• Handle payment disputes and respond to questions from branch staff
