Job summary

Pioneer FCU is seeking a Collections Officer at our Mountain Home Administrative Office to protect assets by managing delinquent loan accounts, collecting payments, and coordinating collateral recovery in compliance with state and federal rules.

The role requires a minimum of one year in related work, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to resolve member issues and arrange feasible repayment plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of similar or related experience.
• High school education or GED is required.
• Excellent communication and people skills are essential.
• Must be a strong problem solver with diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to handle sensitive member information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Contacts and follows up on delinquent accounts by phone, text, mail, or email to bring accounts current.
• Analyze financial situations and arrange repayment schedules based on members' ability to pay.
• Advise members on debt repayment actions and possible financial arrangements.
• Make recommendations to repossess collateral when other options fail.
• Maintain accurate files and document all activities in the core processor.
• Coordinate with Collections Manager and other leaders to address loan delinquency trends.
• Testify at legal proceedings when required and support branch teams as needed.
