Job summary

PSECU in Harrisburg seeks a Consumer Collector to perform collection duties on unsecured loans, reduce delinquency, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves outreach to members, processing charge-off activities, settlement maintenance, and account servicing.

Typical schedule: Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:00pm, with every third Saturday 8:00am–4:00pm and a weekday off that week. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are key.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in collections or customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Member Contacts: Handles incoming member contacts and outbound calls, processes collection duties.
• Delinquency Management: Monitors delinquent accounts and analyzes past-due loans to prevent further delinquency.
• Legal Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and manage risk within responsibilities.
• Vendor Interaction: Coordinates with third-party collection vendors as needed.
• Training and Development: Assist in training new staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
