Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a collections associate to locate, notify, and secure payments from customers with delinquent accounts. The role involves contacting customers by text or phone, reviewing credit terms, and documenting all interactions.

You will also handle payments, maintain a cash drawer, and, when needed, assist with repossessions with store manager approval. A valid driver’s license is required for travel to customers’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Sends text messages, mails form letters and/or late charge notices to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confers with customers by text or telephone to determine reasons for overdue payment and review terms of sales, service, or credit contract.
• Documents all correspondence with customers concerning accounts.
• Receives payments and posts amounts paid to customer accounts.
• Maintains and balances a cash drawer and ensures it is locked when unattended.
