Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a Collections Associate to locate, notify, and secure payments from customers with delinquent accounts. The role involves contacting customers by text or phone, reviewing terms, and pursuing payment progress.

Travel to customers’ homes as needed to collect on late payments, assist with repossessions if approved, and prepare paperwork for potential legal action. Daily documentation and CRM updates are required, with standard office duties and CRM use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months experience in payment collections or office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to document correspondence and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Sends text messages, mails form letters and late charge notices to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confers with customers by text or telephone to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms of sales/credit contract.
• Documents all correspondence and attempted correspondence with customers concerning accounts.
• Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer’s account.
• Maintains and balances cash drawer; ensures drawer is locked when unattended.
