Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a collection associate to locate, notify, and secure payments from customers with delinquent accounts. The role involves contacting customers by text or phone, reviewing terms, and documenting all communications.

You will also handle payments, balance cash drawers, and may travel to customer homes for collection efforts with approval. Additional duties include preparing paperwork for legal action in severe cases, logging activities, and supporting store

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Sends notices and communicates with customers to encourage payment on delinquent accounts.
• Confers with customers to review terms and determine reasons for overdue payments.
• Documents all correspondence and posts payments to customer accounts.
• Receives payments and balances cash drawer as required.
• Travels to customers’ homes to collect payments and assist with repossessions if approved.
• Prepares paperwork for potential legal action in severe cases.
• Logs work activities daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Operates office equipment and CRM systems as needed.
• Assists customers on the sales floor and supports store goals.
