You will text and call customers, travel to homes when required, document all activity, receive and post payments, assist sales on the floor, and help prepare legal actions and credit investigations under the Store Manager’s direction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months experience in payment collections or office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to review, classify and analyze data as part of collections processes.

Responsibilities

• Sends texts, mails forms and notices to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confer with customers by text or phone to determine reasons for overdue payments.
• Documents all correspondence and attempted correspondence with customers.
• Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer accounts.
• Travels to customers' homes to collect late payments when required.
• Prepares paperwork prior to legal action for severely late-paying customers.
• Initiates credit investigations by telephone under the direction of the Credit Manager.
• Logs daily, weekly, and monthly activity; supports sales on the floor as needed.
