Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture seeks a dedicated Collections Specialist to locate, notify, and secure payments on delinquent accounts in Georgia. You will contact customers by text, phone, or mail, review terms of sale, document all activity, and post payments to accounts while maintaining a cash drawer and complying with company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Notify and collect on delinquent accounts via text, mail, or calls.
• Confer with customers to determine reasons for overdue payments and review terms of sale or credit contract.
• Document all correspondence and attempted correspondence with customers.
• Receive payments and post to customer accounts.
• Maintain cash drawer and ensure it is locked when unattended.
• Travel to customers’ homes for collections and assist with repossessions when approved.
• Prepare paperwork for potential legal action against severely delinquent customers.
• Log daily, weekly, and monthly work activities and update CRM.
• Assist customers on the sales floor and participate in sales floor activities.
