Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to help oversee the deli department, lead a busy team, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes food safety, scheduling, and collaborative leadership.

You will assist in daily operations, contribute to product quality, and drive a positive shopping experience while maintaining safety and sanitation standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have strong communications skills and the ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Possess leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff with awareness of reports and goals.
• Must maintain Food Safety certification and follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising and sales through planning, direction and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training and developing the Deli team.
• Unload and sort deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards.
