Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead one of our busiest deli teams and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining product quality and safety. You will assist in staffing, training, scheduling, and coordinating daily operations in a fast-paced store environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strict adherence to food safety standards, and collaboration with store leadership to drive productivity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with preferred 2 years supervisory experience in deli or food service.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction and phone handling.
• Proven leadership to motivate and manage staff with familiarity of reports and goals.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Food safety certification and compliance with regulations and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli Manager in managing and merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and deli team supervision.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork.
• Lead brainstorming to deliver top-quality products and service for customers.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload deliveries and operate/maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed by all deli staff.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to store success.
