Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to help customers make healthy choices and lead one of the busiest store teams. You will assist in managing the deli department, oversee ordering and inventory controls, and coordinate production, merchandising, and sales with a focus on service and quality.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, food safety knowledge, and the ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years old with preferred 2 years supervisory experience in deli or food service.
• Reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; customer interaction and orders.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to motivate staff.
• Proven leadership to coach staff and meet financial goals; knowledge of reports and sales figures.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills; healthy food safety practices.
• Food Safety certification required; knowledge of safety, sanitation, weights and measures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in supervising and merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and deli staff supervision.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Help lead a team to deliver high quality products and customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the deli team.
• Unload deliveries and maintain deli equipment; ensure safety and sanitation standards.
