Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead one of the store’s busiest teams, ensuring fresh products, quality customer service, and a positive shopping experience for guests.

You will assist the Deli Manager with ordering, inventory, scheduling, hiring and training, while upholding food safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment. This role offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have strong communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to take and give direction.
• Show outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Demonstrate leadership to motivate and maintain staff.
• Have a strong focus on detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload/store deliveries and operate deli equipment; ensure equipment is safe to use.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, sanitation and regulatory guidelines.
