Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations, mentor staff, and drive exceptional customer service and sales performance across departments. You will manage staffing, training, and performance, while upholding Meijer standards and the company’s community-focused values.

You will oversee P&L, shrink control, safety, and a positive shopping experience, fostering career growth and advancement for team members as part of a long‑standing Midwest retailer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli) or customer service and product flow experience.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Oversee P&L, achieve sales, and maintain shrink within the department.
• Ensure safe, friendly, and efficient customer service and store operations.
• Develop career paths and promote development for team members.
