Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to help lead one of the store's busiest teams and ensure exceptional customer service. You will assist in directing daily deli operations, merchandising, and staff development to deliver high-quality products and a top-notch shopping experience.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older with at least 2 years supervisory experience in deli or food service.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to lead a team.
Proven leadership ability to motivate staff and meet goals.
Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Food safety certification and knowledge of regulations for product freshness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

Assist the Deli Manager in supervising and merchandising for productivity and profit.
Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality and staff supervision.
Coordinate production, merchandising and sales through planning and teamwork.
Help hire, train and develop the Deli team.
Ensure health, safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
Assist in maintaining equipment and handling deliveries.
