Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to assist the Deli Manager in leading one of the store's busiest teams. You will help with daily operations, scheduling, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include ordering, inventory control, staff training, and ensuring food safety standards. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to take and give direction.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction and order taking.
• Proven leadership to build and motivate staff and manage reports and sales data.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Food Safety certification and knowledge of relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Help lead a team to deliver high-quality products and customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of the Deli staff.
• Unload and sort deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
