Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an Assistant Deli Manager to lead a busy deli team, ensuring excellent customer service and high-quality product in a fast-paced store.

The role involves assisting in daily operations, merchandising, scheduling, training, and enforcing food-safety guidelines, while promoting a friendly, helpful shopping experience for customers. This position requires strong communication and leadership skills and a commitment to team success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with about 2 years supervisory experience in deli or related food service.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to follow directions and work in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers and take special orders.
• Proven leadership to motivate and manage staff; awareness of personnel and sales metrics.
• Food Safety certification present; adherence to all food safety, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high-quality product and top-notch service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload and sort deliveries; operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation guidelines; ensure compliance by team.
