Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Supervisor/ Deli Lead to direct all deli and food service activities and supervise staff. You will ensure quality, safety, and guest satisfaction while maintaining merchandising standards.

The role requires 2 years in fresh foods, weekend/evening flexibility, Serv-Safe preferred, and the ability to lift 25 pounds. The position offers growth opportunities within a Fortune 500 company with strong community commitments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
At least 18 years old.
Flexibility for weekends/holidays/evenings.
2 years in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
Reliable transportation and an active driver's license.
Serv-Safe certification preferred.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
Stand long periods and repeatedly lift/move merchandise and supplies.
Ability to operate knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries.
Vocational or Technical Education High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

Direct department personnel, meeting goals and coordinating with store management.
On-board and coach new team members; schedule staff.
Provide product information, sell with suggestions, and offer sampling.
Take guest orders; ensure on-time completion and guest satisfaction.
Enforce safety and sanitation guidelines for the department.
Order products and supplies to maintain stock and merchandising standards.
Oversee deli/food service preparation and display of items.
Rotate inventory to ensure quality and shrink control.
Process invoices, receive merchandise, and stock storage areas.
Count products for inventory; complete paperwork accurately.
Handle cash register transactions and pricing accuracy.
Monitor pricing, signage, and shelf placement.
Maintain clean, orderly counters, prep areas, and walk-in coolers.
Ensure staff use proper safety equipment and procedures.
Perform other duties as needed by management.
Work with deli ingredients including meats, vegetables, spices, sauces and oils.
