DELI/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Minimum Qualifications

- Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers of deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use deli equipment such as fryers, rotisseries, heat lamps, and ovens according to company guidelines.
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Educate department associates about current and upcoming promotions, especially those affecting the Deli.
- Stay current with store advertisements and promotional campaigns.
- Assist the Food Service Manager in preparing budgets, profit and loss reviews, and financial reports.
- Plan, organize, and supervise inventory processes.
- Train associates on inventory management and Computer Assisted Ordering.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs.
- Reinforce safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions, notifying management accordingly.
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report safety risks, illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
