DELI/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Deli department. Support the day-to-day functions of the Deli operations. - Train and develop associates and participate in performance appraisals.

- Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
- Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples and inform customers of deli specials.
- Provide fresh products with correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend deli items to customers to meet their needs.
- Use deli equipment according to company guidelines, including fryers, rotisseries, heat lamps, and ovens.
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions affecting the Deli.
- Assist in budgeting, profit and loss reviews, and financial reporting.
- Supervise inventory and participate in inventory planning and ordering.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperature logs.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed, and inspect equipment regularly.
- Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities promptly.
- Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
