Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Supervisor/Deli Lead to direct the deli and food service department, supervise staff, and ensure guest satisfaction. The role includes coaching new team members, scheduling, and maintaining product quality and safety across breakfast, lunch, dinner items, and beverages.

The ideal candidate has 2 years in fresh foods, Serv-Safe certification preferred, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• 2 years prior experience in a fresh food's environment preferably in managerial role.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and an active driver's license.
• Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts and assist other locations as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods of time, bend/twist, and frequently lift/move merchandise and supplies.
• Dexterity to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries.

Responsibilities

• Direct department personnel, meeting department's goals and objectives, communicating with store management and department supervisors.
• On-board and coach new team members.
• Schedule all team members.
• Provide product information and selling suggestions; assist guest with orders and ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee deli/food service preparation, display and merchandising.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Process cash register transactions and daily paperwork.
• Monitor pricing, signage and shelf tagging.
