Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Deli Bakery HMS Leader to support the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager. You will supervise associates, manage labor, and drive friendly, fast service to meet budgeted goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of store operations. Certification as a Food Safety Manager or eligibility to obtain it within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager and supervise duties of HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Food Lion strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain customer-focused service and a positive shopping experience.
