Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS lead to support store operations and drive financial and sales goals. You will supervise the Deli Bakery HMS team, coach staff, and promote exceptional customer service across the department.

Key responsibilities include labor scheduling, training, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. You will work within company policies to ensure efficient operations and a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Accredited by National Registry of Food Safety Professionals as a Certified Food Safety Manager or obtain training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, supervising the department staff.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity goals.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion Brand culture and customer service.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain a safe and clean department with excellent customer service.
