Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.

• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or achieve accreditation within 90 days; accreditation must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager and supervise associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote the Brand Strategy and Culture in-store.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, cleanliness, and safety are maintained.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, and display of merchandise.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and comply with regulations.
• Monitor shrink and coach staff to prevent losses.
• Adhere to company policies, dress code, and security standards.
