Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli HMS Supervisor to support store operations and growth. You will oversee the Deli Bakery HMS department in the absence of the Deli Manager, coach associates on labor and productivity, and ensure a positive, efficient shopping experience for customers.

The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with management to meet budgeted goals and maintain brand culture across the store.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Accreditation by National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or plan to achieve accreditation within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager and supervise HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service and positive shopping experience.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, variety, safety, and sanitation are maintained.
• Adhere to policies, scheduling, ordering, ACIS and business information systems.
