Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS Lead to support store operations and drive financial and sales goals. You will lead the Deli Bakery HMS team in partnership with the Deli Manager, coaching associates and ensuring customer satisfaction with fast, friendly service.

The role emphasizes managing labor, scheduling, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining product quality and department presentation. A high school diploma and Food Safety certification readiness are required.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be accredited or able to obtain Certified Food Safety Manager within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote our Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure a positive customer experience with friendly service and product knowledge.
• Control store expenses through ordering, supplies, and equipment care.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, and safety standards are maintained.
