Food Lion is seeking a Deli/Bakery HMS Department leader to support store operations and promote a strong culture. You will assist the Deli Manager, supervise associates, manage labor, and drive customer-focused service while ensuring safety, compliance, and cost control.

The role emphasizes leadership, merchandising, and collaboration with the store team to hit financial and sales goals while maintaining product quality and department appearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, including supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Food Lion's Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Offer fast, easy, friendly customer service and create a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through ordering, care for supplies and equipment.
• Utilize company tools and reports and ensure proper use of systems (ACIS, scheduling, CAO).
• Ensure department appearance, food safety, sanitation and compliance with regulations.
• Ensure schedules provide extraordinary customer service and coverage.
• Adhere to company guidelines and dress code.
