Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS Supervisor to support store operations and leadership. You will supervise daily tasks in the Deli Bakery HMS, manage labor to meet productivity goals, and coach associates to deliver quality customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining department standards, ensuring safety compliance, and helping achieve financial targets while fostering a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, including supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectation
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Brand Strategy and Culture
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Ensure exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience for customers
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with regulations
