Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli HMS Operations role to support store leadership in Virginia. You will manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the Deli Manager's absence, supervise HMS Associates, and coach staff to meet productivity goals.

You will drive labor efficiency, promote excellent customer service, and help achieve budgeted results while maintaining safety, quality, and a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, supervising duties of HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectation.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Promote fast, easy, flexible, and friendly customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control expenses through proper ordering and care for supplies and equipment.
• Use company tools like financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, and CAO.
• Maintain appearance, quality, safety and sanitation of the department.
• Ensure HMS schedules are written to provide extraordinary service.
