Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or equivalent, or able to achieve accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Oversee daily labor and coach associates for productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Food Lion strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Deliver friendly customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, and safety standards.
• Utilize company tools like ACIS, scheduling, ordering, and reports.
