Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.

• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function; Food Safety Manager accreditation within 90 days if not already.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, including supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity targets
• Provide leadership and motivate the store to reflect Food Lion Brand Strategy and Culture
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service and a positive shopping experience
• Ensure department appearance, quality, variety, and safety compliance
• Monitor inventory and control shrink; observe safety and sanitation standards
• Prepare schedules to provide extraordinary customer service
• Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
